A favourite cup can become part of the way a day begins. A bowl can make a shared meal feel a little more inviting. Lunora brings together stoneware for these familiar moments, with pieces that have texture, warmth and a character of their own.
Our collection draws on two worlds: the natural tones and tactile surfaces of the earth, and the moons, stars and small glimmers of light above it. Some pieces are quiet and simple. Others add a crescent, a carved line or a touch of gold. There is room for both at the same table.
THE MATERIAL
Stoneware clay is the foundation of the collection. Cream and speckled bodies bring warmth beneath the glaze, while the black clay of the Obsidian Espresso Cup offers a darker, unglazed surface. The clay, shape and finish each contribute to how a piece looks and feels.
Across the series, glazes range from soft whites and earthy neutrals to greens and blue tones. Speckling, subtle colour shifts and the movement of glaze around a rim or carved edge create depth in the surface. Slight differences in shape, colour and glaze are part of the character of these handmade pieces.
THE MAKING
Pieces such as the Golden Crescent Mug and Morning Still Espresso Cup & Saucer are thrown on a potter’s wheel. Rounded bodies and curved rims give these forms their familiar feel, with handles and proportions suited to their individual designs.
The Arc and Tide bowls feature carved surfaces that catch the light along their grooves and facets. Espresso designs including Quiet Earth and Little Crescent use a pinching technique, giving their smaller forms softly irregular outlines.
Gold lustre appears as crescents, stars and raised dots on selected pieces. Against a speckled or coloured glaze, these small reflective details become a focal point. Other designs leave the clay and glaze to speak for themselves.

For pieces decorated with gold lustre, wash gently by hand with a soft sponge and avoid the microwave. Use mild detergent and avoid abrasive pads on decorative surfaces.
